Here It Is!

So for those of you that want to see what my cover will look like here it is! Hope you like it.

Just Made a Decision.

So I have as of two minutes ago just made my final decision on which cover I choose and let me tell you that it was one of the most difficult decisions I have ever made. This one decision has now set the tone of all the covers within the series and I can only pray that I just made the right decision. I think I did, I know that it will market well, but of course my favorite cover was not that one. Oh well, I think this was the right decision and I can only hope that when it comes out in stores that it will catch people's eye and draw them in. When I hear back from my publisher I will ask if I will be allowed to post the cover for you guys to see.
As for everything else, I'm really glad that that the summer has unofficially begun. This time of year is when I'm usually at my most creative so I'm hoping that that will translate into the revamping of my newest novel and the polishing of my second which I hope to be ready to send to the publisher soon. I also just got a new fish tank and a new Betta fish. He's beautiful, with a mixture of greens, blues and reds. I can only hope that he will last awhile. Of course, now my brother wants to put something in the tank too, but for those of you who have owned Betta you know that putting other fish into the tank with them is not a good idea. So at PetSmart yesterday we talked to them and they said that other fish were out but that snails were in, which is good because my brother has an obsession with them and they keep the tank clean. Score! And yes, for those of you who were wondering, my fish does have a name. His name is Neal, and I know, a weird name for a fish, but that is actually kind of a funny story. Two of my cousins were down this weekend and I asked the one "What should I name my fish?"
His response, "I don't know. Neal."
"Neal? Why Neal?"
"I don't know, it's just what popped into my head."
"Well, I'm not naming my fish Neal." I then realized that thus far I have always named my pets after something from a book, so I asked my other cousin to pick a book randomly from the shelf and that the first male character to speak would be the new fish's name. Now keep in mind that I own over 600 books, so she went up a shelf pucked one off and handed it to me. I open it up and I quote. "Then Neal spoke ..."
"Well, I guess his name is Neal."

As always I'll keep you guys updated about my book.

Cover Designs! Part 2

        Hello!

Well, today I got to see the two cover designs they have created for my book and both of them are awesome, but so different it will be very difficult for me to choose. Now comes the hard part about choosing, though I would like to show them to all of you, legally I can't until I have actually chosen. Then I will find out if I can post it. What kills me is that I have to make a decision by the end of the weekend so that doesn't give me to much time to come to a decision.
Also, I just found out that the new people running the Catching Fire movie are thinking of casting Robert Patterson as Finnick Odair. When I read this I literally went into shock and not out of good reasons. I will be so mad, mad enough to go into a tantrum if he gets casts. He just isn't what I pictured and the only reason they are even thinking of him is because he's a big named actor, but heeellllllloooooo! The Hunger Games is already huge enough not to need him within the movies! Uhhhh, well either way I'd go see it, but I'll be very annoyed/upset. Oh well.

Write when I have some news.

Cover Design!

So, this past week I found out that my second book has just started the conceptual editing process and my first book was given over to a graphic artist. I spoke with her today and we discussed the cover, which I will hopefully see the sketches for soon, but I still imagine it will take like a week and a half. As for the other book, I won't really hear anything from them this month, but I will when June starts.

As for everything else, I really haven't been reading much or writing much recently due to a suddenly busy life. I have found myself busily making scarf after scarf for a craft show fundraiser. The fundraiser is for a little girl I work with who was born with brittle bones disease and she is in desperate need for a new stroller and money to go to a special conference in D.C., which will help her learn how to live in everyday society. I was greatly encouraged by the response we have had from the community and hope that I can raise a good amount for her and her family.

As always, I'll write when I know more.

Till Later.
