So yesterday I sent in the first of my edits for Part 2 of The Tale of Ella and Cinder. I am actually very pleased at how it came out and now I have to wait for my editor to get back to me. Soon however, I should be hearing from the layout department that will be telling me that the layout for my book is finished and that I have to approve it. Of course it was just today as we were on our way to visit a college for my brother that I realized that I will being having to deal with the second round of editing for my second book and approving layout for the first at about the same time. Fun. And by fun, of course I mean stressful! Especially since over the summer I never seem to have enough time for anything. Oh well. I'll let you all know when I know more and will hopefully be allowed to post the back cover when that comes out towards the end of this month.
Till Later.
This blog is being written to explore the books, my writings and just random questions or problems about life.

Update!
Okay, so here is an update on both books, yes both. The first one, or part one of The Tale of Ella and Cinder has just moved into layout. For those of you who don't know what this means, it has now moved on to the part where the story takes on the form of a book. So by the end of the month I'll know what the book as a whole looks like and that includes the back cover. As for the second book, I just got my first round of editor's notes and now will have my time to make corrections and change things. However, with two books going at the same time I just realized how absolutely crazy this summer is going to be!
Now I have to come up with a publicity shot to go on the back cover and that is happening this Friday. I just spent the entire day shopping for an outfit and think I have a nice selection, but I'm sure I'll be changing my mind up until I actually have to leave for the appointment. I just can not figure out if I should wear a dress or a blouse skirt/pant outfit. If I should wear black or color? Obviously white is out since I don't want to blend in with my cover. Sigh, like I said, I will be changing my mind up until the appointment.
So, I spent Saturday at my cousin's since it was one of their graduation party and it was a nice time. I mean, I'm sure we have all gone to a graduation party or two that was super boring, but that one was interesting and fun. Except for the part where I accidentally hurt my one cousin by falling on top of her bad knee, but other than that it was great. Unfortunately, being fair skinned and forgetting to put sunscreen on once I got there, I got a little more sun than I wanted. Can we say skin cancer. Oh well, I'll just stay out of the sun's way until I've healed. At this point I'm just hoping that most of it tans over so that I can worry about it a little less this summer.
Speaking about being worried, I'm a bit worried about my new fish Neal. I've noticed that his back fin is "ripping" and at first I was like, "Huh? How did he do that?" but now that more of his fin is like that I have come to two theories. One, that one of his fake plastic plants is to sharp somewhere and he gets caught on it. Two, the filter I have in there is too strong and when he tries to swim a against the current his delicate fins rip. So, to see which of these is more correct, I have kept the filter off for the last two days and have been observing. So far I have not noticed anything new, but I'll give it a bit more time. Maybe it's both.
