Okay, so I have some updating to do. First and foremost, sound the trumpets please because book one is officially on to marketing! I have also received my posters, but the shirts still haven't found their way into my hands just yet. Now this is going to be the step that will have me second guessing the most, but only because I truly have no idea what to do. I'm sure that they will walk me through it though. As for book two, the initial stage for final layout has started and is almost complete. I hope to e-mail it to my publisher by Saturday.
As for everything else, work is going well, my cats are bizarre as always and I'm reading when I can. Have I recommended the King Killer Trilogy yet by Patrick Rothfuss? No, then I should have. I'm currently re-reading the first one because I just bought the second one and it is awesome. If you are into fantasy then you totally need to give this book a try, though I will caution you. This book is for mature audiences, in the sense that he does not have any issues dealing with some real life issues and the characters have some unusual ways of insulting themselves, others and sailors if you catch my drift. Otherwise it's really good, but parents not a book for your kids or teens.
As for any other projects, I've started really working on my version of Robin Hood. As you know my version of Cinderella is coming out (yeah!), and I've completed my writings of Beauty and the Beast and the Princess and the Frog. I'm still not sure if after I'm done with Robin Hood if I should give the fairy tales a break and write something different, but I guess I'll figure that out when the time comes. My project for the winter is to polish my Beauty and the Beast story and possibly try and get it signed in the spring, but we'll see. Part of that will be determined by how well Ella is doing. Also, I think I will have to change the main character's name because of Disney copyright infringements, but once again we'll see.
Okay, last thing. As some of you may or may not know, Frankenstorm is coming! If you have no idea what this is, then look it up, but in honor of Frankenstorm, I will be writing a short story and posting it here within the next two days. All you guys need to know is that my family has a legend. A legend about the Pumpkin of Death. Just be prepared.
I don't know about any pumpkins of death. This will be a first! I'm also looking forward to my shirt!
