Long Time, NO Read

Okay, so I've decided that I'm just going to stop making promises. It's safer and it doesn't make me look bad if I promise to write more and then either have nothing to write about, or simply don't have the time. However, there is quite a lot that I can write about now.

First, let's get to the writing. So for those of you that have read my previous blogs, you know that I have already written a number of other books but that they just haven't been sent to a publisher. Well, I am one step closer to getting my next book, A Beautiful Beast, in. I am at the BETA readers part of this whole process and once that's done, I'll go over it once more and then hopefully it's on to the publisher. What is a BETA reader? Basically it is someone that the author trusts with their material and who will give honest feed back. Not every author does it, but I've found that it tends to help me. While that is going on, I am trying to polish the third installment of The Mosaic Tales. However, I know that I am going to have to do some serious rewriting on this one. The reason? Well, I've come to the conclusion that I really don't like the main character. Funny, I know, but yes, I don't really like her. Now, I have an idea on how to tweak her a bit to make her better, but it will take some time and if she continues to annoy me then this is going to be torture. Someone asked me why I didn't just scrap the story, but the truth is that I kind of need this story told before I can go onto the next one. I'm hoping it works out though.

As for The Tale of Ella and Cinder Books One and Two, it is going well. Book One has been out for a little over 3 months now and people are starting to talk about it and pass it around. Book Two came out middle of last month and it has gotten a pretty good response. I have a book signing coming up on Friday in Millville NJ at 7:00pm and if any of you want to come by and say hi, I'd love the company.

As for the rest of my life, all of that has pretty much kept me busy. Unfortunately, I have not read any books that have impressed me enough to write about them. I also forced myself to take a 40 day break from reading, which has been one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. It was a need however, since I needed to just sit down and work on my writing. The 40 days is almost up and then hopefully, I'll be able to find something worth writing about.

Until Later.
