So, I am writing this while watching the Super Bowl. Now, I'll be honest, I'm not much of a football watcher. In fact, I'm not much of a sports watcher, but be that as it may I still watch the Super Bowl. Of course, it is usually for the commercials and the half time show, but hey, I still watch it. This year though, I missed the first half and the half time show, so now I'm just waiting for this power outage to be over. I am happy though that the Ravens are winning. They were the team I was hoping for to begin with. Why? Well, I like the Blind Side and Michael Oher and he plays for the Ravens. However, being totally honest, I'm rooting for them because they're named after an Edgar Allen Poe poem The Raven and I respect that.
That's enough about football though. Why I am really writing is because The Tale of Ella and Cinder Book 1 will be released in 2 Days! February 5th will officially be it's release date. You of course can pre-order it on any website that sells books, but the 5th is the first day that stores can begin to put in up on their shelves. It's kind of surreal to be honest. People keep asking me if I'm excited and I of course answer YES! but at the same time it doesn't feel real. I'm sure that sounds strange to most of you but it is what it is. I always thought that I'd be breaking out of my skin with so much excitement, but I'm amazingly calm. I'm sure though that it will hit me soon enough. Especially since some of my friends are coming to visit to help me celebrate. What also makes this strange is that in a way I kind of feel like this book is my baby and I wish to protect it and putting it out into the big bad world is like sending it to kindergarten. Funny enough, just did a quick calculation in my head, she (I always thought of it as a girl) just turned four if you count her birthday as when I started writing her. Anyway, its getting really close now and I couldn't be happier. I hope all of you enjoy the story and have a great week!
Write Later.
